 Speech teacher to students
Dear friends, respected teachers and Principal Ma’am,

It is indeed so wonderful to be here on the occasion to mark Teacher’s Day.

As we look back there is a sense of nostalgia, of course, as we reminisce the academic institutions we attended as we went from school to college and then to university and other institutions of higher learning.

But at the root of it all is the great sense of gratitude we feel for our teachers at every level of our study and learning.

What would life have been but for our teachers? They, who taught us the alphabets and then through all the years of our study till we submitted, perhaps, our post-doctoral research work.

Education is so inter-linked with teachers. And when we glorify education as the means of enlightenment, emancipation and empowerment of people, men and women, we must really realize that the possibility becomes a realization through the patience, love, service and devotion of millions of teachers.

Go back in time and the person you most fondly remember will be the teacher who taught you, perhaps at kindergarten. That was the time when you, as a little child, left the comfort of your home and parents and went into a completely new environment and started to study and play with other children. And that kindergarten teacher was the person who was loving and caring, making the initiation to learning less painful, more comfortable.

As you grew up your teachers also became your mentors, advisers, supporters, counsellors, sympathizers and role models. And your teachers were persons who made you independent thinkers, adventurous learners and inquisitive researchers. And they fostered you at every step. Even when our teachers seemed harsh or tough with us it was to make us strong and capable to deal with the reality most ably and most aptly that awaited us in the world. We realized that later. And we were only overwhelmed with gratitude.

These memories flood our minds and hearts as we remember our dear teachers. Yes, indeed!

Years may roll on and time flies, yet our teachers have a very special place in our hearts. That it seems is the power of sharing. When teachers teach us it is really that they share so much of their time, learning and life skills with us. Teachers are indeed so generous, and that is what transforms the lives of students year after year.

When we come together on occasions such as today to celebrate the lives and work of teachers, let us determine to share, in our own way, something that we may be endowed with, with those who may lack it. When we can do something akin to what our teachers did for us, it would only make our teachers happy and proud of us. It may be one way of saying a big thank you to our teachers.

Nothing can equal what our teachers have done for us. But we can try in whatever small way we can.

Thank you!

Farewell speech

Good morning respected principal, vice principal, colleagues, families and friends, students and my dear outgoing 12th class students.

I am honored and pleased to deliver this farewell speech. Today, 1st of July, is a day of joy, particularly for the graduating students and their parents. We are all here to bid farewell to our students who are leaving this college after successful completion of their 12th year in the college. I welcome you all to this colorful ceremony.

My dear 12th class students, despite some hard tasks, sadness and grief that you have encountered in the course of your studies in the college, at the end of it all, you completed this part of journey with great achievements and beautiful memories. Being tough with you at times does not mean that we hate your set, but to prepare you for a greater challenge ahead, and to nurture you to build a strong foundation for your next level. Under our guidance, you have attained this impressive milestone in your life with great honor and integrity.

Today, I am honored to say, we are proud of your many achievements over the years, your various accomplishments in almost all curriculum and extra curriculum activities. Your brilliant achievements in academic discourse and in sports are indeed acknowledged. Your sweet memories will forever remain in our hearts.

I and my fellow colleagues wish to thank you for the uncommon zeal you have demonstrated towards your studies, in your relationship with the teachers, management, the junior students, and even among yourselves.

In the history of this great college, we have witnessed and recorded cases of school bullying, violence and all sort of unwholesome activities that emanated as a result of unrighteous actions of some of our students. Today, I am very impressed and happy to say that during your set, the school neither witnessed nor recorded any of such cases. Indeed, you have shown to us that you all came from a good home and well trained, therefore, you have left behind a very good legacy for the junior and in-coming students to follow.

My dear students, as you leave this college, expect that some challenges await you, which of course, I strongly believe going by your antecedents and the manner you have conducted yourselves over the years and the skills and knowledge we have imparted in you, you will surely overcome them.

At this point, I want to implore my dear outgoing students to always see yourselves as good ambassadors of this college and never allow selfish interest to blemish the integrity you have nurtured over the years in this great college. Be kind and good to people you meet on your way up. Allow the words of God guide you as you journey to greatness. Think big thoughts and be optimistic in whatever you are doing.

On behalf of the college, I bid you farewell and wish you best of luck in your days ahead. May God bless you all!

Thank you very much.

Swach bharat speech

My name is……, I read in class……. First of all I would like to say good morning to the respected teachers. I am very grateful to my class teacher that she trust on me and gave me a chance to show my talent of speech in front of you. I have selected the topic of Swachh Bharat Mission, a Clean India Campaign because of its necessity and big responsibility of all of us. It is a mass movement run by the government to make India, Clean India by 2019. Mahatma Gandhi, who is also known as Bapu or father of the nation, has always emphasised people on swachhta for their healthy and prosperous life however could not became so effective because of the improper co-operation of the people.

Keeping in mind about India’s cleanliness and health, Indian government has launched a campaign called swachh bharat mission on 2nd of October in 2014 (145th birth anniversary of Bapu) and aimed to be completed till 2nd of October 2019 (150th birth anniversary of Bapu). This mission is implemented to cover all the rural and urban areas for maintaining the cleanliness all over India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said while launching the mission that, “I do not make any claim that only the newly elected government has done everything. All governments have done something or the other to achieve cleanliness in the country; I greet all of them for this. Swachh Bharat mission is beyond politics. It is inspired by patriotism and not politics.”

Cleanliness is not limited to any person or place, it is the responsibility of everyone to clean themselves as well as their surroundings to really make India a clean India in near future. It is the combined responsibility of 1.2 billion people living in the country. In order to make this campaign an effective and successful mission, Indian Prime Minister has planned to make a chain of nine people. On the day of launch of mission, PM has nominated nine Indian personalities to involve in the mission in their own areas in order to initiate this campaign. He also requested to them to again call another nine people to join the campaign to continue this chain till the message of campaign reaches to everyone in all corners of country.

The aim of this campaign is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene all around the India by completely eliminating the open defecation in country. The maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene in India would bring the great opportunity in country to enhance its economic status by improving the tourism to India as well as keeping its citizens healthy and happy. Cleanliness would keep everyone happy and healthy in all aspect physically, mentally, socially and intellectually by reducing the chance of diseases.

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Clean India, Disease Free and Economically Strong India.

Womens empowerment speech

As we have gathered here for celebrating this great occasion, I would like to reach an important message of women empowerment in India to all of you through my speech. The aim of Women’s Development Project in India is to bring social and economic betterment of the women all around the country. The core mechanism of this programme was promoting women’s self-help group to make women empowerment effective. To really bring women empowerment there should be changes in the women’s mobility, social interaction, labour patterns, control over decision-making and access to and control over various resources.

Women need to more mobile and start interaction to range of officials. According to the statistics, it has been seen that most of the women started travelling to longer distances, interacting to staff of banks, development organizations, NGOs, etc. There should be changes in the labour patterns means if woman need to attend meetings, husband should look after the children and feed themselves. Husbands are given some tasks of daily routine at home and society. They should help properly a woman during her sickness in the same way she cares after them. Such activities may not bring high level effects to the women empowerment however men may learn to not to dominate over women. In this way women may adopt new productive roles in their life which may bring a huge change.

In many regions of the country where male-headed household system is followed, men are still managing all the financial activities even after being involvedness of women in the income-generating activities so that men can be beneficial to take loan. It has been surveyed that workload of most of the women has increased whom husbands have taken loan on their own name. Women need to have access to and control over all the resources in family and society. She needs to be involved in the intra-household decision-making which may bring slight improvement in women condition in the male-headed households. In India, it is very tough to bring changes about women in the traditional societies. It can be changed but take some time and regular effort.

Thank You

Environment speech

First of all I would like to say good morning to the Excellencies, respected teachers, and my dear friends. As we all know that we have gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion, I would like to speech over the environment in order to make you aware of our continuously declining environment so that we all together can be successful in saving our environment by taking some effective steps. As we know that we live on the planet of earth having different types of surroundings called environment within which we can eat healthy, breathe freshly, and live safely. However, what happens to our lives if any means of natural or manmade causes of environment degradation takes place, we cannot imagine the extent of loss to the human and other living beings existence. The ecology balance and natural cycles has become disturbed which is very hard to bring back and give it a natural shape. However, there is a common saying that “prevention is better than cure”, so we never gets tired of trying our best to save the environment.

Physical environment on this planet provides all of us a favourable required condition and supports the existence and growth of various forms of life here. Natural or physical environment is provided by the nature however all forms of the living beings together constitute another environment called biological environment. Both of the environments are closely connected to each other and make a unique natural system for the life survival. If the biological environment gets disturbed, physical environment automatically gets disturbed and both hugely affect the human lives together. Another environment which is completely depending on the human is socio-cultural environment made by the human beings. Whatever environment is, it must be healthy, safe and secure to continue the evergreen life on the earth in present and future.

We should realize our mistakes and concern about the environment in order to keep it clean, safe and secure for the healthy life. Many of the human activities like deforestation, industrialization, technological improvements and so many are leading our environment towards danger and keeping lives at risk by influencing the growth, development and survival of all organisms. Various types of environmental pollution such as water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, etc are disturbing the ecosystem and causing variety of health hazards to the human beings and animals. Environmental pollution is damaging the ecosystem and destroying the delicate balance of the natural ecosystem. So, now-a-days environmental pollution is the matter of great concern and consideration for which we all together follow some effective steps and carry on until problems gets solved completely.

Thank You
